While not exactly a town with a ton of Irish heritage like some other places in the States, Northeast Los Angeles was suddenly home to an Irish import store as of mid-October 2018. Since then, the tiny Eagle Rock store has become an important place to pick up hard to find items from the island, but also products from throughout the United Kingdom. Not to worry, they always have quite a few cans of Marmite on the shelves.

Before the pandemic the two tiny aisles were fun to browse and bump into others, but still and hopefully always will remain a treasure trove for those looking for the ingredients and snacks from home. Whether you need the cheese and onion of Tayto crisps from Ireland or Britain's favorite Walkers which comes in many flavors, they have got you covered.

A recent intense craving for a full Irish breakfast had been building over the past couple weeks, and of course Kitty O'Shea's was the spot to grab almost everything you need for this. They do not sell fresh bread, although they do have brown bread kits for those that do not bake. Open up the freezer in the back to find options for Irish sausages, sliced bacon, and both black and white pudding, then grab some eggs and tomatoes from your local market.

The breakfast does not taste right if you do not use the Irish (and in some cases English) versions of these meats, so it is not even worth trying. Grab a can of Heinz beans from the shelf, put on a pot of coffee (or grab a box of one of many of their English teas), and fry those eggs sunny side up. The cravings were satisfied one hundred percent thanks to the shop.
