EDITOR'S NOTE: An updated version of this article (29 November 2023) is available as part of the Historical section of our Substack page. Check that out here:

It was only back in 2015 when the first fried shrimp tacos were ordered from this truck (for these pages), but immediately they caused a deep desire to scream out loud. They were that good, and still are. They will always be on the itineraries when your friends are visiting.

Each chance to return to the truck is exciting and like a dream come true. So simple, but their ingredients are always fresh and each bite heaven. It may not be meant specifically for breakfast, but since they open at 09:00, why not?

The fried tacos de camarรณn ($2.25 each, below) are the reason this truck burst onto the radar of the entire city, but regulars seem to know a variety of orders is the special way to go as all their seafood is so fresh and spicing so perfect.

On the last visit the aguachile (above) was sampled for the first time and will not be forgotten from now on. It is served as a tostada to make it easy to eat on the side of the street, and is almost just as important an order as the tacos. Beware that this is probably the spiciest item on the menu and is not for the faint of heart.

The ceviche de pescado (below) is also served on a tostada when ordered to eat immediately, and is another noteworthy contender for your time and hard-earned money.

This stretch of East Olympic Blvd. has a couple other mariscos trucks that are all worth checking out and just as popular.
