Mariscos Jalisco

In 2015 when we ate our first fried shrimp tacos from this truck, we wanted to scream out loud they were so good. Finally getting the chance to return is a dream come true. So simple, but their ingredients are a dream and each bite is heaven. It may not be meant specifically for breakfast, but since they open at 9am, why not?

The fried tacos de camaron ($2.25 each, below) are the reason this truck burst onto the radar of the entire city, but regulars seem to know a variety of orders is the special way to go as all their seafood is so fresh and spicing so perfect.

On the last visit we tried the aguachile (below) for the first time and won't forget it from now on. It is served as a tostada to make it easy to eat on the side of the street.

The other tostada we tried so far was the ceviche de pescado (below), another noteworthy contender for your time and hard-earned money.

This stretch of East Olympic has a couple other mariscos trucks that we will be checking out as things in Los Angeles get serious and we have our correspondent on the ground permanently.
