The popular chain in Japan came stateside first to New York, and admittedly, the ramen is good. After some expansion elsewhere in the city and then San Francisco, they eventually decided to open in Los Angeles. The first location has just come alive in Santa Monica after much anticipation. These photos are from many experiences at the first NYC location.
Ippudo is a nice place to eat, if you don't mind a small wait. A lot of care came over the Pacific Ocean and thankfully the stateside version is as tasty as the real deal. Proof is inside (your bowl).
