Starting Sunday 20 November 2022, Eat the World Los Angeles will be joining folks from all 32 nations at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar to see how they celebrate here in Southern California. Every matchday there will be stories of the tournament from the perspective and passion of each and every country involved. There may be no better way to show off the beauty and complexity of (Greater) Los Angeles than by watching the World Cup with expat communities in neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley to Orange County and all points in between.

Even if you are not a fan of The Beautiful Game or sports in general, the same themes that come out on these pages through food will be well-represented during these events. It will be a little glance into 32 communities here in the Southland and a way to learn a little bit more about them all. The World Cup is about more than football, it is about a pride in where you come from and a hope in what could be better when the "real world" always seems to fail.
